Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Southampton, Hampshire for an
Immigration Advisor IAA level 1
. The Immigration Advisor will provide professional and accurate advice to clients regarding their immigration applications. The Immigration Advisor will ensure that all client data is accurate and up to date, provide excellent customer service, and maintain client files in accordance with company procedures as well as IAA regulations.
Job Responsibilities
• Verify and prepare application documents on behalf of clients
• Maintain and support the applications until the case is resolved
• To provide excellent and professional customer service at all time
• To keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation by attendance at external training and by private study and deliver to the compliance team
• Deal with all the inquiries during the application process and keep clients updated at all times
• Must work within strict timelines and communicate with authorities and the client consistently via email or telephone
• Complete any other records in connection with casework in order to meet IAA requirements maintain statistics and update client files, using manual or computerised systems as appropriate and as required by department manager
Requirements
•
Must have OISC / IAA Level 1 qualified or above
• Extensive knowledge of current UK immigration laws, policies, and procedures
• Strong ability in written and oral communication including an excellent understanding of English
• Must have strong communication and negotiation skills as the job is centred on communication with the client, colleagues and authorities.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a high workload
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and analytical approach to work
• Strong empathy, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Must be motivated, energetic and able to work as a part of a team.
• Have a non-judgmental attitude, and be able to work with people from all backgrounds. They must also be able to understand the boundaries which apply when working in a legal advice environment, and to understand the importance of providing a consistent service to clients
