Overview
A Vacancy at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for an NHS 111 Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Advisor. Salary: Band 6 (£38,682‑£46,580) plus unsocial hours allowance. Full and part‑time positions available (minimum 24 hrs per week). The role is office‑based in Bicester; home/remote working is not available.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, assessing a wide range of medical conditions via telephone.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (health advisors, nurses, paramedics, mental health practitioners, pharmacists, etc.) to ensure patients receive the correct care.
* Maintain excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills while remaining calm under pressure.
* Participate in a nine‑week fully paid training programme and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
* NMC or HCPC registration.
* At least 3 years post‑registration experience; registered general nurse (RN1, RNA) preferred.
* Triage experience.
* Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Prepared to work 5/8 weekends in a 4‑week period; shifts are 6/8 hours.
