Job Title: Aircraft Technician
Job Type: Permanent & Contract opportunities available
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday (Day Shifts), 10-hour shifts (contract roles only)
Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the nature of the work, full Security Clearance (SC) is required prior to starting on site. You must also be able to meet BPSS requirements for an airport pass.
To be eligible, you must:
1. Hold or be willing and eligible to obtain SC
2. Be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
3. Have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years
4. Be a sole British national (UK EYES ONLY restriction applies)

How You'll Contribute
As a talented Avionics Technician/ Aircraft Technician, you'll carry out modifications and maintenance in line with approved drawings and maintenance data, ensuring full technical integrity.
You'll also help maintain a clean, safe working environment, with strict adherence to tool control at all times.
Your Key Responsibilities include:
5. Avionics Installation & Maintenance
Includes wiring terminations, loom manufacture and testing, equipment installation/removal, and accurate panel/shelf work.
6. Testing, Troubleshooting & Documentation
Support system testing and fault diagnosis. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulations accurately, ensuring all documentation and reporting is up to standard.
7. Workplace Safety & Standards
Report unsafe conditions promptly and uphold the highest quality standards in all tasks.
8. Communication & Reporting
Work under the direction of the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer. Provide regular updates on issues affecting the work plan and offer solutions where applicable.
The Essentials You'll Need
9. Background & Eligibility: Completion of an engineering apprenticeship (ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalent). You must meet UK residency and security vetting requirements.
10. Experience & Expertise: Solid knowledge of avionics systems, with hands-on experience in aircraft modifications. Experience in aircraft production is a bonus.
11. Skills & Attributes: Excellent hand skills, great attention to detail, and a proactive, team-focused attitude. Strong communication skills are essential.

13. SFAR Phase 1 & 2 - Initial & Continuation
14. EWIS Group 1 & 2 - Initial (including Group 1 Module G Practical) & Continuation
15. ETOPS and RVSM
