Job title: Radar CEH Certification Engineer

Salary: £47,683+ (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Review supplier Data Requirement Lists (DRLs)
2. Support the resolution of CEH related problems
3. Review CEH declarations and evidence in clearance documentation
4. Generate CEH Summary Reports for each formal Radar Software release
5. Support Certification Authority led CEH Stage of Involvement (SoI) audits at supplier premises and European sites
Your skills and experience:
Essential:
* A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience, preferably with electronics development focus
* A proactive approach to problem solving
* Knowledge/experience of safety engineering, ideally within an aviation context
* Experience of certification standards in Hardware / Firmware
Desirable:
* Experience/knowledge of radar systems
* Hands-on experience of CEH testing

The Radar EDR team:
This is an exciting role for a Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) Certification Engineer working within the E-Scan Radar Equipment Design Responsibility (EDR) team on Eurofighter Typhoon, supporting CEH development on the E-Scan Radar programme.
This role is based at Warton, working closely with Radar Equipment Suppliers (EuroRadar, Leonardo-UK, Hensoldt, Leonardo-IT, and Indra), Eurofighter GmbH, and other engineering disciplines to deliver E-Scan Radar programmes on time and within budget, maintaining safety and quality standards.
You will manage all Radar CEH activities as part of a small team. The role requires a wide range of engineering skills, teamwork, and product focus to meet complex requirements. A systems engineering background and knowledge of radar systems are beneficial; training will be provided for RTCA DO-254 compliance.
Additional information:
This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage an evolving workload. Due to working with Radar Suppliers, travel within the UK and mainland Europe will be required.
