As a Digital Marketing Specialist I, you’ll be the engine behind smarter campaigns—managing marketing tech, fine-tuning lead processes, and transforming insights into action. From optimizing websites and digital ads to building dashboards that shape big decisions, you’ll collaborate across teams to make marketing not just run—but soar. Primary Responsibilities: The Digital Marketing Specialist I is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the marketing department, including managing marketing technology, streamlining lead management processes, optimizing marketing strategies, and ensuring efficient creation and execution of campaigns by leveraging data analysis to improve overall marketing effectiveness and alignment with the business goals. Create, update and optimize content on MED-EL US websites, professional and consumer customer emails, blog, and other channels where appropriate. Manage content approval process via TrackWise. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy. Monitor campaign budgets to maximize ROI. Lead digital advertising campaigns across channels such as Google Ads. Marketing Technology & Systems - Manage and optimize marketing automation/analytic tools (such as Matomo), CRM systems, and analytics platforms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Data Analysis - Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze marketing performance metrics, such as conversion rates, ROI, and customer acquisition costs. Create PowerBI reports and dashboards to visualize data and present insights to stakeholders. Campaign Execution & Evaluation - Define and evaluate data required for launching, monitoring, and optimizing marketing campaigns. Support segmentation efforts for targeted marketing efforts based on demographics, behavior, and purchasing patterns to execute and optimize digital and offline marketing campaigns. Collaboration - Work closely with business systems, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure alignment on strategies and objectives. Act as a liaison between technical teams and marketing teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Recommendations and Strategy Development - Develop actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve marketing effectiveness and drive growth. Support the development of long-term marketing strategies that align with overall business goals through KPIs, metrics, and recommendations for improvement. Stakeholder Engagement - Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to various stakeholders, ensuring that insights are understood and actionable. Trend Analysis - Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify potential opportunities and threats. Provide insights on emerging trends that could impact marketing strategies. Data Integrity - Collaborate with sales, customer experience, and business systems teams in data clean-up initiatives to ensure data is consistent and accurate. Accept special projects and assignments as business requires. Position Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, preferably in business, communications or marketing At least 3 years experience in web content management Required competency in Microsoft Office. Experience working with CRM, Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Strong understanding of web technology, including content management systems. Preferred experience with Progress Sitefinity, WordPress, email marketing platforms, Google Analytics. Solid front-end programming skills (HTML, CSS, JS). Experience managing PPC and SEO. Preferred experience with UI and UX design. Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Located within - or willing to relocate to – Durham, NC This is a hybrid role, located in Durham, NC. This team is onsite 3x / week with 2 days working from home. This is subject to change at any time.
