Our growing Southern tax team is seeking an experienced candidate to join as a Corporate Tax Director. Our tax team specialises in advising local and international businesses on managing their tax affairs in the UK and abroad.
It's an extremely unique and exciting time to join the team as PwC continues to invest and build out the Cambridge Tax team, working together jointly to provide seamless, exceptional tax services.
Expand your career as a Corporate Tax Director based in our Cambridge office, where you will work collaboratively with the tax team to provide services to existing clients and new ones.
What your days will look like
The role offers the opportunity to work within the UK tax technical network, gaining access to UK tax specialists, enabling you to service your clients with robust, value-added tax advice. You will gain significant and varied experience in building a business and advising clients. This role oversees a broad range of middle-market clients, including family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, mid-cap and inbound companies, as well as scale-up/start-up businesses on complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with senior stakeholders across the tax networks to build new client relationships, identify, and pursue new opportunities within the market, including market activation.
* Build a diverse portfolio of client engagements, including large corporate businesses, private equity portfolio companies, family offices, and start-ups.
* Focus on Private Business tax - work with a variety of clients and lead projects, involving relevant specialists as appropriate.
* Remain an Subject Matter Expert with up-to-date relevant tax knowledge, including changes in tax law and legislation, to advise clients and internal stakeholders on technical issues, and deliver sessions at client or knowledge events.
This role is for you if
The successful candidate will possess expert tax knowledge and the proven ability to work collaboratively with various tax professionals to provide world-class tax advice to clients.
* Possess an ACA and/or CTA (or international equivalent).
* Have relevant and up-to-date UK Tax knowledge, with experience of complex tax issues facing both locally and internationally owned businesses and private equity portfolio companies.
* Proven experience in business development, creating profitable opportunities and value propositions for tax services.
* Previous leadership and project management experience.
* Efficient use of technology in managing client relationships, pursuing opportunities, and overseeing deliverables.
* Experience in scaling efficiencies and implementing continuous improvements across multiple projects and environments within deadlines.
