The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Business and Economics education across Key Stages 4 and 5, supporting a culture of high expectations and outstanding outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Business and Economics department, driving curriculum innovation and academic achievement. Deliver consistently high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Business and Economics. Support and develop a team of specialist teachers to ensure continued professional growth and effective classroom practice. Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions. Contribute to whole-school leadership and development as part of the extended leadership team. The successful candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree. Proven experience of teaching Business and/or Economics at GCSE and A Level with strong outcomes. A track record of leadership or significant responsibility within a department. A deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire staff and students alike. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable Attributes: Previous experience as a Head of Department or Second in Department. The ability to contribute to whole-school strategic planning and decision-making. An understanding of the role of Business and Economics education in preparing students for further education, employment, and global citizenship.
