Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Compliance Assistant to support the firm's compliance function. The role will assist with regulatory compliance, complaints handling, file auditing, and risk management processes to ensure the firm meets its obligations under the SRA Standards and Regulations.

Key Responsibilities
File Auditing and Risk Monitoring
* Conduct routine file audits in accordance with the firm's audit programme.
* Review files for compliance with SRA requirements and internal policies.
* Prepare audit reports and highlight compliance issues or risks.
* Monitor follow-up actions from audits.
Regulatory Compliance Support
* Assist with maintaining the firm's compliance registers (complaints, breaches, undertakings, training etc.).
* Support the COLP in monitoring regulatory obligations under SRA rules.
* Help prepare documentation for regulatory reviews or audits.
* Assist with policy updates and compliance communications within the firm.
Client Satisfaction Monitoring
* Monitor online reviews to identify any trends.
* Assist with the administration and management of client enquiries.
* Monitor response deadlines and escalation requirements.
AML and Client Due Diligence
* Assist with onboarding compliance checks and file closures.
Training and Awareness
* Support the preparation of compliance guidance and training materials.
* Assist with internal compliance communications and reminders.
General Compliance Administration
* Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
* Assist with data collection and reporting for compliance reviews.
* Provide administrative support to the compliance function.
