About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based in Minehead.
At Butlin’s, we believe that great food is essential to a memorable seaside holiday. In this role, you will lead and develop our team in the Restaurants Department, ensuring high standards of food safety, health & safety, and operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and developing Junior Kitchen Managers and the culinary team.
2. Maintaining compliance with food safety and health & safety policies, including HACCP procedures.
3. Placing orders for food supplies with our onsite warehouse.
4. Communicating with the Food Development Team regarding operational challenges.
5. Enforcing cost control, monitoring waste, and ensuring a smooth operation in collaboration with the front of house team.
About You
We are seeking individuals with previous experience managing a kitchen operation at a similar level, with a proven track record of team development in a commercial culinary environment. You should be hardworking, reliable, energetic, enthusiastic, and fun-loving. A Level 3 Food Safety qualification is required, and you should be confident leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The role involves working 40 hours per week over five days, with a focus on creating a positive guest experience and fostering a collaborative team environment.
