Deputy Children's Home Manager
Salary £30,000
Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Location Warrington
At Birchwood Children Services we are looking for a Deputy Manager to Join our fantastic team, we hold the belief that each child deserves a nurturing home-a place where they can flourish, be truly heard, seen, and feel secure. The home is a 4-5 Bed Home for Children with Learning Disabilities set in the picturesque area of Warrington, Cheshire. we are currently seeking a passionate and seasoned individual to join our team as a deputy Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
Collaborate in the day-to-day operational management.
Provide leadership and guidance to the care team.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture.
2. Care and Support:
Oversee the delivery of personalised care and support.
Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.
Maintain a secure, safe, and stimulating environment for residents.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure services adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
Assist in inspections by regulatory bodies, striving for continuous improvement.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders.
Act as a point of contact for concerns or inquiries.
5. Training and Development:
Contribute to the training and development of the care team.
Stay abreast of best practices and industry developments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a residential care setting.
Relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.
Knowledge of current legislation and best practices in residential childcare.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
