Position: Housing Management Coordinator
Location: Yeovil
Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £13.21 to £13.63 per hour (£25,838 to £26,645 per annum) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan
Description: We are seeking a dedicated Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Yeovil. In this role, you will focus on tenancy support, ensuring safe and well-maintained homes for our customers. You will provide housing management services, supporting tenants in managing their tenancies and rent accounts, with the goal of helping them transition to secure, long-term accommodation.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting single homeless individuals facing various challenges such as substance misuse and mental health issues.
* Ensuring properties are safe and suitable, engaging tenants in their tenancy management.
* Assisting with housing benefit claims and rent collection.
* Issuing notices and warning letters, and attending court when necessary.
* Preparing rooms for new tenants and ensuring maximum occupancy within set timescales.
* Maintaining health and safety standards and overseeing property maintenance.
Ideal candidate:
* Experience managing housing caseloads and landlord duties.
* Knowledge of re-letting procedures, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
* Leadership qualities to guide and support team members.
* Ability to work independently and positively influence diverse individuals.
* A proactive, organized, and collaborative approach.
