Procurement Group Leader Warton Based (Hybrid 3 days per week on site) £67.47 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35 12 Month Contract initially. This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Warton. The Procurement Group Leader will play a critical role in leading strategic supplier management across the Capability Insertion Training & Manpower team and the Procurement Service Delivery Unit. This includes managing, amongst others, delivering complex development & support programmes, whilst supporting the development of the long term Training & Manpower strategy. You will be responsible for managing performance, driving value for money and aligning procurement strategy with wider business and customer requirements. The role involves regular stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels internally and externally. Knowledge: Essential: Demonstrated experience of supplier relationship and performance management. Continuous improvement mindset with examples of value delivery. Strong understanding of supplier risk and opportunity management. Experience of dealing with volatile stakeholders and managing conflict.
