NWM/600 Hours: Part Time 15 hours per week Work Pattern: T o be agreed with successful candidate, likely to be Wednesdays and Fridays Contract: Fixed Term Contract until October 2026 ​ Salary: £24,640 per annum, salary will be pro rata for part time hours ​ Location: REST Kings Lynn - PE30 1AY *Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted. ​ The Role ​ As a Recovery Worker, you will support individuals with mental health and complex needs to achieve their personal recovery goals. You will work alongside service users to promote independence, physical health, and emotional wellbeing, while helping them to build strong support networks and engage with specialist services. ​ Key Responsibilities: • Support individuals, possibly presenting in crisis (presenting in a range of ways, including low mood, depressive symptoms, anxiety, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts) to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to navigate the crisis situation. • To facilitate and deliver workshops and sessions developed, providing support to individuals who attend them. • Quickly establish appropriate, meaningful relationships with people referred to the Hub, supporting them to move out of immediate crisis. • Connect this group of individuals with support to implement recovery principles within a community setting. • Evaluate the impact of this brief intervention using agreed KPIs. • Introduce therapeutic tools and interventions to those using the service, tailoring this support to their particular needs, including cognitive behavioural tools, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills, and other coping strategies • Liaise with GPs, external agencies and community teams, making referrals as required. • Support and complement Peer Support staff and Volunteers in carrying out their duties. • Read and understand a variety of sources of information about a person and make key decisions based on this. • Using the Norfolk and Waveney Client Management System, keep accurate assessment records for people who use our services. • Develop links and referral pathways with a range of agencies including accommodation services, health services, police etc. Build positive relationships with clinical and internal colleagues, and external organisations. • Participate in group work programme to assist people using services to deal with issues such as substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, housing issues, unemployment, or physical abuse. ​ ​ Job Description: JD Recovery Worker REST KL.pdf ​ Please note: The link to the job description (JD) may not work for all users due to system access restrictions.
