Spire Southampton are recruiting for a Theatre Scheduling Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is to support the capacity & utilisation manager to increase the utilisation and allocation of theatre sessions and maximise the number of patients seen and treated, and revenues generated.

Duties and responsibilities
1. To work alongside the Capacity & Utilisation Manager and ensure that all resources are available to support assigned cases.
2. Collaborate with the teams regarding short and longer-term capacity planning whilst ensuring that theatre, endoscopy, and Cath lab capacity is maximised.
3. To support the site in the delivery of its AOP, admissions targets and revenue performance as a site.
4. To escalate any concerns which may lead to loss of cases and/or revenue.
5. To support in the completion and distribution of the theatre off duty.
6. Act as Chair in the absence of the Capacity & Utilisation manager and the capacity meetings.
7. To be the main point of contact for lists, concerns, and escalations in the absence of the Capacity & Utilisation Manger
8. To conduct administrative tasks which are to include (but not limited to) allocation and approval of bookings, data inputting and email communications.
Who we're looking for
9. Previous experience of working within the healthcare industry or a similar customer orientated organisation.
10. Demonstrable ability in problem solving and prioritisation skills.
11. Swiftly understand the cause of challenges and be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve.
12. Able to have difficult conversations with senior clinicians and colleagues to improve utilisation.
13. Experience of data collation, analysis, and reporting
14. Willingness to take ownership and responsibility to deliver solutions.
15. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours
