Full-time Max term position until 18 Jan 2027 (Parental Leave cover) Increase fortnight take-home pay with access to $15,900 salary packaging benefits 10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning Your new role The Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program is a new innovative approach to delivering intensive, evidence based and sustainable intervention support to vulnerable children and families in partnership with Child Protection. The response will build upon existing child and family services within the broader system and aims to prevent at risk children and young people from entering or re-entering care. The program will also support children and young people currently in care to safely reunify with their family where possible. As a FPR Senior Practitioner, you will provide intensive wraparound case management services to the most complex challenging families, who present with multiple demands. The role will deliver assertive outreach, undertake risk assessments, lead care team planning and develop creative interventions to engage hard-to-reach families. Working as part of collaborative care team, the Senior Practitioner will assist families to address the safety and developmental needs of children and young people, and support parents to enhance their resilience and self-determination. Your skills and experience To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare You will also have: Current valid Victorian Drivers Licence Demonstrated ability as a senior level practitioner in the child, youth and family welfare field Experience in working with vulnerable children and families in a community services setting is preferred Demonstrated experience in engaging with families successfully and completing assertive outreach Demonstrated ability to assess and appropriately respond to risk for children and young people View the position description here.
