Total hours per week: 30.0 Expected duration 18 Months Possible start date 02 Sep 2024 Date posted 23 Apr 2024 Apprenticeship level Advanced Level 3 (A level) Reference number VAC1000246654 Positions 1 available What you will do in your working day Below is a summary of the key roles and responsibilities which you will work towards during your apprenticeship: Ensure you take an active part in the general duties of maintaining and running a smooth office environment Undertake reception duties, including providing a warm, professional welcome to all school visitors Receive and escort visitors around the school, ensuring they sign in and out according to school protocol Deal with face-to-face, telephone, and e-mail enquiries in a helpful, efficient manner; this duty includes transferring calls and delivering caller messages in an efficient and timely manner Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, e-mailing, binding, laminating, shredding, completing and processing routine forms, sorting and distributing mail and e-mails Provide admin support to the senior leadership team as and when required Assist with data processing and operate relevant ICT packages (e.g. Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, internet and School Information Management Systems (SIMS)) Assist with arrangements for events, visits and meetings, including providing administrative support and preparing refreshments and clearing away Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, liaising with parents/staff, etc. Contribute to the caring ethos, work and aims of the school Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training activities Make notes at meetings Assist in checking deliveries of goods received at school Carry out finance-related tasks such as processing receipts, petty cash reimbursements and raising purchase orders Help prepare cash and cheques for banking Assist in arrangements for school trips, meetings and events Any other ad hoc tasks which are in keeping with the purpose and level of this role The training you will be getting Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Functional Skills up to Level 2 in maths and English (if required) Training will be one day per week at Skills for Work, Bradford Council. This will be a hybrid training model with a mixture of sessions in person at their training centre in Bradford Centre and other sessions on Microsoft Teams.
