Experience required
Design and construction experience in highways
commercial awareness
Working knowledge of Local Authority and national design standards and contracts
Working knowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations
Ability to contribute to engineering projects with values exceeding £1m from initiation through to completion with support of a senior engineer.
Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents
Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, TSRGD, MCHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous)
Full UK/EEC driving licence
Qualifications:
Essential:
Educated to HND or degree level in civil engineering BEng/Meng (or equivalent)
Hold or be working towards an appropriate professional qualification (IEng / CEng etc).
