Bank - Radiographer(Nuclear Medicine)

To be an effective member of the Nuclear Medicine Team providing a high standardof service to patients and their referrers. To assist in the running and organisation ofthe Nuclear Workload. This role will require experience and expertise in NuclearMedicine Techniques


Main duties of the job

Provide a commitment to the highest quality of patient care at all times.

To provide a professional standard of communication to all medical, nursing,technical, clerical and ancillary staff.

Perform clinical duties in:

* Imaging,
* Administration of therapeutic isotopes
* In-vitro and quantitative studies

as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer, Deputy Superintendent orclinical co-ordinator

Assist in the running and organisation of the Nuclear Medicine workload.

Carry out Nuclear Medicine procedures to the highest standard, adhering toDepartmental protocols and paying particular attention to patientidentification.

Job responsibilities

Be proficient in the use of the departmental equipment and to make sure thatquality control protocols are always observed. To report any equipmentmalfunctions or damage as soon as it occurs.

Carry out duties as and when they occur due to new developments within thespeciality of Nuclear Medicine.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Superintendent Radiographer.

To use the departmental databases and hospital computerised patient information system efficiently and accurately and in compliance with Trust IT policies, the Data Protection Act and Caldicott.

To participate in the collective aims of the Trust and take personal responsibility for the quality of service provided. To continually strive to improve the level of service provided to patients and to contribute to and support service improvements.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* DCR/BSc Radiography Diagnostic/Therapy
* State Registered - to undertake duties of a Radiographer


Experience

* Experience with computer systems
* Organisational experience


Skills


Other

* Works well in a team
* Highly motivated to provide an outstanding Nuclear Medicine service.
* Eager to learn new skills
* Interest in research
