Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for full-time and part-time Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team at our Joseph Wright campus. If you’re motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
* Provide a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have specific inclusion and support needs to enable them to achieve and progress.
* Support students studying BTEC and A-Level subjects at The Joseph Wright Centre.
* Build good working relationships, foster confidence and a “can do” attitude, and support and challenge students to excel.
* Develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge within the student support team and across the college.
About You / Qualifications
* We value the ability to build good working relationships, foster confidence and a proactive attitude, and to help the 3000 students we support strive for excellence.
* You should be keen to work with students to access all elements of the curriculum and use practical problem solving and initiative.
* Please note: You must hold at least a Grade C/4 in both Level 2/GCSE Maths and English and be able to provide evidence of this.
