EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85–£95 per day
About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping children thrive in education? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL) in primary schools across Blackburn and Darwen. You’ll play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop their English skills, and feel confident in the classroom.

What You’ll Do:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for EAL pupils
* Assist with vocabulary building and language comprehension
* Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials
* Encourage confidence and participation in lessons
Ideal Candidate:
* Bilingual or multilingual (Polish, Romanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Lithuanian, Arabic, Kurdish, Farsi, Pashto highly desirable)
* Patient, empathetic, and proactive
* Experience in education or supporting children (preferred but not essential)
