About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, providing a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, with flexibility offered to fit around your lifestyle. You will help customers with personal health issues, solve problems, guide them to the right products, assemble and process prescriptions accurately, and promote pharmacy services such as Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews. You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and record keeping of patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop smoking schemes. You will develop an understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to them. Additionally, you will collect customers’ prescriptions from their doctor's surgery on their behalf and bring them to the store ready for collection. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, then train as a Dispensing Assistant to complete your pharmacy training.
