As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high quality care and service we're known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you'll help implement action plans that ensure our residents' needs are met. Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you will help with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to help every resident enjoy the best possible quality of life, leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and checking regulatory compliance. You’ll set high standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals.
Responsibilities
 * Lead and develop care teams across multiple care homes within the region.
 * Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager.
 * Monitor and improve care standards through audits, clinical supervision, and regulatory compliance checks.
 * Engage in strategic planning to deliver high-quality care and resident outcomes.
 * Collaborate with General Manager and hiring managers to implement action plans.
About You
 * Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
 * Teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification.
 * Experience in a nursing home setting and evidence of continuing professional development.
 * Experience in safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
 * HR experience, strong knowledge of sales and marketing, understanding of budget management.
 * Track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
 * Compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in an engaging environment.
 * Flexible and willing to travel within the region.
