We are delighted to invite applications for multiple Lecturer positions in Accounting and Finance within the Department of Finance and Economics - part of a globally elite, triple-accredited business school, and proud to be named Modern University of the Year 2026 by the Good University Guide.

About Us

Our department is home to over 2,000 students and 75+ academic staff, making us one of the largest and most dynamic in the UK. Our triple accreditation places us in the top 1% of business schools worldwide - a testament to our commitment to delivering outstanding education and impactful research. Our teaching and research activity adopts an applied focus, maintaining currency and connection to the broader economic environment.

We are currently focused on:

1. Launching a refreshed portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
2. Expanding into cutting-edge areas aligned with our strategic vision.
3. Innovating in Learning, Teaching and Assessment to meet evolving market needs (including AI integration and the Skills Agenda) ensuring our graduates are future-ready.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking passionate and forward-thinking individuals who bring energy, expertise, and a collaborative spirit. You will:

4. Hold a professional accounting qualification from a globally recognised body (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA).
5. Have relevant industry or academic experience in one or more of the following areas: Management Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Business Law and Governance, Taxation, Financial Management, or Audit.
6. If from industry, have experience of process innovation within your subject area (e.g. AI integration).
7. If from academia, have led or contributed to curriculum innovation, with evidence of implementation in teaching and assessment.
8. Be committed to building your external profile in ways that enhance both your career and the department's reputation.

Successful candidates will be invited to do the following:

9. Take part in an interview with members of the department's senior leadership team.
10. Deliver a 15 min presentation (with an additional 10 min Q&A time) to members of the department on a topic of the department's choosing.
