HR Business Partner – Greenock – Salary c. £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation. The Greenock site employs around 300 people and plays an important role in the production of product. It is a global centre of excellence for production, attracting a lot of investment to the site and attention from the global leadership.
This is a key HR Business Partner role supporting the Greenock leadership team and connecting local HR activity with wider regional and global initiatives. The role requires a confident HR generalist who can operate at pace in a manufacturing environment, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and support modernisation across people processes, systems and organisational design.
Are you the kind of person our client is looking for?
* Previous experience operating as an HR Business Partner or in a similar senior HR generalist role
* Experience working within a global organisation and engaging with senior stakeholders
* Background within engineering, manufacturing or another operational environment
* A strong HR generalist skillset covering the full employee lifecycle
* Proven experience modernising and aligning HR processes and working practices
* Experience supporting or delivering global HR projects and initiatives
* Ability to build relationships across local, regional and global teams
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to support decisions
* Experience working with HR metrics and performance data to drive improvement
* Exposure to Compensation and Benefits projects and reward initiatives
* Experience supporting or implementing HR systems
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience leading annual pay review cycles and performance management processes
* Knowledge and practical application of UK employment legislation
* Experience developing early careers initiatives including apprenticeships, graduate programmes and year in industry schemes
* Ability to coach, guide and influence managers to build strong, high‑performing teams
* Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline and/or CIPD qualified
What can you expect from the day to day?
* Partnering with the leadership team at the Greenock site to support business performance and organisational development
* Supporting organisational design and workforce planning activity
* Advising managers on employee relations matters and complex HR issues
* Delivering initiatives across recruitment, talent management and employee engagement
* Supporting compensation and benefits activity including annual pay review processes
* Driving learning and development initiatives to strengthen leadership capability
* Supporting the implementation and optimisation of HR systems and people processes
* Using HR data and metrics to identify trends and support business decisions
* Building partnerships with local schools, colleges and universities to support early careers initiatives
* Contributing to regional and global HR projects and transformation programmes
