Job Title: Principal Planning Policy Officer Contract Duration: 3-6 Months Start date: ASAP Location: Oxfordshire Working arrangements: Hybrid, 1-2 days per week in the office Rate: £40-£55 per hour, depending on experience Role Description: My LPA client are seeking an interim Principal Planning Policy Officer to join their team for a period of 3-6 months. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of their Local Plan, with a focus on reg 19 work. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and implementation of local authority planning policies, with a focus on reg 19 work Conduct research and analysis to support policy development initiatives Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices in planning policy setting Support senior management in the coordination and delivery objectives Provide expert advice and guidance on planning policy matters Requirements: Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) Extensive experience in local authority planning policy setting Strong analytical and research skills Good communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Interview Process: The client is ready to conduct interviews immediately and is seeking a candidate who can start as soon as possible, although are willing to wait up to four weeks for an ideal candidate.
