ASD Support Assistant – Reception (1:1 Support)
Location: Banstead | Rate: £90–£100 per day | Contract: Long-Term

We’re working with an Outstanding primary school in Banstead that is seeking a compassionate and dedicated ASD Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception child with autism. This is a long-term role where you’ll become a trusted part of the school community and a key figure in supporting the child’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with ASD, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
2. Creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment tailored to the child’s needs
3. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning and behaviour plans
4. Supporting play-based learning, daily routines, and emotional regulation
About you:
5. Experience working with children with ASD, SEND, or in EYFS (school-based experience a bonus)
6. A patient, positive, and nurturing approach
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
8. Committed to a long-term role where you can make a meaningful impact
