Our client, is currently seeking a Flood Risk Engineer to join their team based in Bristol..
Key Responsibilities:
* Fulfil the council's duty as the Lead Local Flood Authority
* Provide consultation responses to planning applications concerning surface water flood risk and drainage
* Track and monitor consultations from the Local Planning Authority
* Provide responses within 21 days of receiving consultations
* Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective flood risk management
* Participate in office team days on Mondays for collaborative work
Job Requirements:
* Experience in flood risk engineering and flood risk management
* Strong understanding of surface water flood risk and drainage
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in tracking and monitoring consultation responses
* Ability to provide timely and accurate responses within set deadlines
* Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work from home with occasional office days
