The Role
We are seeking a committed and confident Year 1 Class Teacher to join a warm, welcoming primary school immediately after the February half term. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential for extension, offering stability, consistency, and the chance to embed yourself within a dedicated school community.
You will be responsible for:
* Delivering creative, engaging lessons that inspire pupils
* Supporting children’s progress across phonics, maths, writing, and the wider curriculum
* Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with staff, support teams, and parents
* Contributing to the wider life of a friendly and supportive school
What We’re Looking For
To be successful, you will need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent experience teaching KS1, ideally Year One
* Excellent knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and strong phonics delivery
* A passion for pupil progress, wellbeing, and high-quality teaching
* Strong classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
