Mechanical Digital Engineering (BIM) Technician

Reports to : Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager

We are looking for a Mechanical Digital Engineering (BIM) Coordinator to join our team in the UK Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering projects within budget, on time, and in alignment with the highest standards and our Digital Engineering (BIM) strategy.
Role Purpose:
This role will contribute to successfully delivering projects to budget and timescales, as well as to standards and according to strategy (DE/BIM).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the completion of all designated work to programme and budget.
2. Collaborating as part of the Engineering / Project and BIM/Digital Engineering teams to provide the best solution for the client.
3. To provide accurate Engineering design documentation in accordance with Standards and Procedures to an excellent standard.
4. You will have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build solid working relationships internally and with key stakeholders
5. You will be committed to your own Professional and Personal Development, Competency
6. Adhere to the BIM/Digital Engineering strategy, workflows, processes, standards, etc. as described by the Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager.
Specific Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
7. Autocad – both 2D and 3D modelling. Creation of General arrangement drawings/ equipment setting out drawings and modelling of vendor items.
8. Autocad Plant 3D – use of running pipework within the software/ modelling from specs created in the office and also Isometrics
9. Revit – MEP Pipework/ equipment modelling using Revit families we have created in the office, and the understanding of setting up GA’s in Revit.
10. Pointcloud viewer softwares.
11. Recap
12. Knowledge, interpretation and application of relevant client, industry and BIM/Digital Engineering standards, such as ISO19650
13. Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups
14. Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
15. A passion for design and innovation
16. Project a professional image to clients and colleagues.
17. Able to work collaboratively to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.

19. Demonstrate integrity.
20. Experience of Common Data Environments (CDE) and Collaborative Working Platforms including working and delivering under BIM environments, processes and workflows.
21. Excellent working knowledge of collaboration and federation platforms, especially NavisWorks
22. Previous water industry experience a distinct advantage
Qualifications / Skills :
23. Achieved or working towards an EngTech accreditation
24. Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
25. Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge.
26. Proactive at identifying improvements and quality of outputs
27. Ability to plan, prioritise and organise
28. Ability to work without direct supervision.
29. Ability to meet and agree deadlines.
30. Ability to coach less experienced members of the team
31. Excellent knowledge of BIM/Digital Engineering standards, processes and workflows, complete with many years experience working in BIM/Digital Engineering environments and delivering to BIM/Digital Engineering standards
32. Formal BIM qualifications would be desirable, although not necessary
