DBS (Recruitment Advisor) post - 18.5 hours per week
We are seeking a highly organised and customer‑focused DBS Support Assistant to join our Recruitment Team. While the post sits within Recruitment, your day‑to‑day work will be predominantly supporting the DBS Team, who work closely alongside Recruitment to ensure safe and compliant onboarding processes. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys detail‑focused work and contributing to safeguarding across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
DBS‑Focused Duties (majority of role):
* Provide administrative support to the DBS Officer and DBS Team
* Maintain accurate, GDPR‑compliant records and database entries
* Monitor outstanding DBS checks and follow up queries promptly
* Process DBS applications within agreed timescales
* Produce routine reports and support data accuracy across DBS systems
* Verify ID documents in line with DBS guidance
* Handle DBS‑related enquiries, offering clear and helpful advice
* Uphold data confidentiality and consistently high compliance standards
Recruitment Support Duties:
* Provide administrative support to the wider Recruitment Team as needed
* Assist with onboarding tasks, document preparation and applicant queries in line with Employment Law
* Help ensure smooth, efficient recruitment processes during busy periods
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident in handling confidential information
* Clear, friendly and professional communication skills
* Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Knowledge of DBS processes is an advantage, but training will be provided
* A proactive, flexible approach to supporting both teams, Disability Confident
