Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Head Chef, on a Full Time, Permanent basis located in Oxford, with in an established pub/Restaurant with a stunning setting.
The role will be working 5/7 days and weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays will be required.
The role is paying up-to £60000pa inclusive of a share of tips working up to 45 hours per week.
Experience with Fresh products is essential.
*A driving licence would be needed, due to location
Overall Objective: To prepare, cook and serve meals and lead a team of talented chefs in a busy restaurant.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader who is passionate about fresh, seasonal cooking, using produce and cooking every dish from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading, motivating, and managing the kitchen team
2. Working with the Executive Chef.
3. Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and allergen awareness
4. Designing and developing menus to reflect home-grown and seasonal produce
5. Overseeing stock control, ordering, and supplier management
6. Completing regular audits and maintaining compliance with all regulations
7. Supporting with event catering where required
8. Running the kitchen efficiently and effectively to consistently deliver quality
Requirements
9. Proven Head Chef experience is essential
10. Strong leadership and communication skills
11. Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management
12. Ability to manage rotas, stock, and budgets effectively
13. Creative approach to menu development with an emphasis on fresh, local produce
14. Flexible, reliable, and confident in a fast-paced kitchen environment
