Role
The college is looking for a determined SEMH Teaching Assistant/TA with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant/TA will be confident and adaptable in working with students with ASD needs helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to support the classroom.
Responsibilities
* a DBS (required) or willing to apply for one
* Experience working with sudents with SEMH
* A calm, patient, and caring personality
* A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
* Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
* Excellent classroom management
