Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of multiple projects across our client portfolio, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high‑quality outcomes from RIBA stages 0–7.
Role Overview
You will oversee full project lifecycles, manage Health & Safety responsibilities, maintain governance and gateway approvals, and work closely with designers, contractors, and stakeholders. A key focus will be effective change control, risk management, and robust financial
oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Deliver projects ensuring value for money and compliance with Mitie and client methodologies.
* Identify project success factors and translate these into clear milestones.
* Establish project roles, responsibilities, and documentation systems.
* Lead progress reporting, programme development, and monthly project review meetings.
* Manage change control and communicate contract requirements across the team.
Compliance & Health and Safety
* Take ownership of Health & Safety throughout all project stages.
* Ensure CDM compliance and maintain the project risk register.
* Promote a culture of quality, “right first time”, and continuous improvement.
Commercial & Financial Management
* Monitor budgets, cost control, and cash flow, ensuring accurate CVR reporting.
* Support procurement, subcontractor negotiation, and contract compliance.
* Work with supply chain and commercial teams to drive performance.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
* Communicate key project information clearly and effectively.
* Encourage innovation and evaluate completed works to identify improvements.
Person Specification
Essential
* Proven project management experience across pre‑construction and construction phases.
* Strong construction knowledge, planning capability, and commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Solid understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
* Flexible approach with willingness to travel.
Desirable
* Degree in construction/surveying.
* Professional membership: RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE, MIET, or APM.
* MEP experience.
* Health & Safety qualification: NEBOSH, NVQ Level 6, IOSH.
