40 hours per week, 9 am - 5 pm, incorporating every other weekend.
The Mill House in Skipton is looking for a Head Housekeeper who understands the power of a well-kept environment and takes pride in creating spaces where residents feel comforted, respected, and valued.
You’ll lead our housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the home. This is a hands-on leadership role where your eye for detail and your ability to motivate others will make a real difference to the daily lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operations across the home
2. Lead, train, and support a team of housekeepers
3. Ensure all areas meet infection control, health, and safety standards
4. Manage stock levels, ordering, and budget control for cleaning supplies
5. Work closely with care and management teams to maintain a warm, dementia-friendly environment
6. Support with room preparation for new residents, ensuring a welcoming and personalised space
About You:
7. Experience in housekeeping, ideally within a care, hospitality, or healthcare setting
8. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
9. A proactive attitude and a commitment to maintaining exceptional standards
10. Confidence in leading a team and fostering a supportive, positive working culture
