The role
Responsible for forecasting activities associated with customers and products, creating and maintaining forecast models, and incorporating business intelligence and information from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources to ensure accurate demand planning that supports financial targets.
What you’ll do
* Responsible for demand forecasting, ordering and inventory management of a defined product category in line with KPIs including fill rate/service level, forecast accuracy and stock coverage.
* Update forward forecasts on a rolling 18-month horizon for all Retail and POP references using group statistical models; create scenarios and determine the best fit considering local marketing plans and supply issues.
* Input manual forecasts into the DMP, manage statistical forecasts at matrix and item levels.
* Conduct historical data cleansing accounting for sell-through, supply issues, promotional activity, cannibalization and exceptional events.
* Reconcile forecast proposals against budget, highlighting inconsistencies for monthly S&OP Demand and POP reviews.
* Collaborate with key customers and business channels (marketing, commercial, finance) to establish future forecasts.
* Enter EOL & Launch forecasts manually into the demand module.
* Maintain product master data including lifecycle management, new product evolution, end of life, forecast stability, sales class, and bespoke local activity (e.g., kit BOM, promo codes, promotional items).
* Review inventory against batch code rules and forecast, raise orders to maintain stocking levels within policy and budget; adjust inventory plans and mitigate stock depreciation as needed.
* Coordinate with Global Planning, Distribution and Supply teams on product, stock and supplier issues.
* Run monthly KPI, stock valuation, and budget reports; share with stakeholders within agreed timelines.
* Prepare documentation for Head of Demand Planning to propose corrective actions during monthly S&OP reviews; support the S&OP process with data, reporting and analysis.
* Drive process improvements through collaboration with key stakeholders.
You are
* Highly literate and numerate with advanced Excel skills.
* Self-motivated with a good knowledge of operations.
* Able to meet budget targets in line with cost objectives.
* Up to date with latest industry trends and regulations.
You have
* 3+ years of proven experience in a demand planning role, including building forecasts for basic and new products, managing safety stock, and end-to-end supply chain understanding.
* Knowledge of SAP/APO/M3/JDE, Manugistics or Oracle Demand Planning, or other software packages including Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and with suppliers.
