Specification Sales Manager – Social Housing

The Opportunity
You’ll be at the forefront of securing and developing KBB specifications across social housing providers and local authorities.
Your focus will be to:
* Win and develop specification opportunities within social housing and affordable housing
* Target and secure positions on frameworks and approved supplier lists
* Build strong relationships across local authorities and housing associations
* Work strategically with national builders merchants to ensure product pull-through
* Engage senior stakeholders within:
MKM Building Supplies, Jewson, City Plumbing, Plumbase, Travis Perkins
* Develop commercially viable KBB specifications aligned to social housing budgets
* Support merchants with specification strategy across regional local authority projects
* Secure long-term agreements that deliver repeatable, sustainable growth
This is a role for someone who knows that specification sales isn’t transactional — it’s strategic, structured and relationship-led.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re commercially sharp and politically aware. You understand the structure of social housing frameworks and how procurement decisions flow through merchant networks.
You must have :
* A proven track record in specification sales within social or affordable housing
* Strong relationships with local authorities and housing associations
Ideally :
* Experience selling KBB or building materials via builders merchants
* The credibility to operate at Regional Manager or Regional Director level
* A deep understanding of pricing structures required to win social housing projects
* The ability to influence multiple stakeholders and manage longer sales cycles

The Package
* Up to £56,000 basic salary
* £600 per month car allowance or company vehicle (hybrid/electric available)
