About The Role: A leading luxury interior design studio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Interior Design Lead to take ownership of multiple high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both design development and project management, with a natural ability to lead teams, develop creative concepts, and maintain exceptional delivery standards throughout every phase. This is a client-facing role with a focus on creative leadership, project oversight, and mentoring junior staff. You will be responsible for translating client briefs into fully resolved design concepts, managing complex programmes and budgets, and guiding your team to produce high-quality outputs. You will also contribute to evolving internal standards and support new business development through design strategy and presentations. Key Responsibilities: Act as lead designer across a portfolio of luxury interior projects from concept through to completion Provide design direction, creative strategy, and quality control across all stages of the project Develop and oversee project programmes aligned with key deliverables and payment schedules Manage project resources and team allocations in weekly studio planning meetings Support junior designers in achieving project targets, offering mentorship and technical problem-solving Review and approve design intent packages including bespoke joinery, architectural layouts, and FF&E documentation Ensure that all design outputs meet brief, budget, and timeline expectations Attend supplier meetings and trade shows to inform and refine material selections Lead presentations and design discussions with clients and external consultants Maintain proactive communication with contractors and suppliers throughout the lifecycle of a project Oversee and contribute to FF&E design and budgeting in alignment with the client’s vision and project constraints Support senior leadership in shaping the studio’s creative identity through pitch development and design reviews Monitor team timesheets and project financials; flag concerns and propose solutions where necessary Key Skills/Experience: Minimum 8 years’ professional experience in interior design, with a focus on high-end residential & hospitality projects Strong conceptual and technical knowledge, with an ability to design and deliver projects with minimal direction Excellent client-facing skills, with confidence in presenting and defending design proposals Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite Good knowledge of FF&E suppliers and high-end finishes Proven experience leading teams and overseeing small to mid-scale projects Technically fluent with construction drawings, joinery details, and material specifications Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and studio management tools Comfortable mentoring junior staff and fostering team growth and cohesion Organised, solutions-driven, and capable of balancing multiple deadlines and responsibilities To apply for this position please click on the apply button to attach your CV (and portfolio for design positions).
