Description
* Review and support to the compliance team responsible for the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client's
* Review and support relating to corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts department
* Managing a varied portfolio including planning and advisory projects
* Preparation/Review of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
* Preparing/Reviewing ERS and EMI returns
* Review of forms P11D & P11D(b) and PSA calculations
* Ad hoc work relating to capital tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate work
* Liaising directly with HMRC in relation to enquiries and investigations
* Supporting and mentoring the more junior members of the team.
Profile
* ATT qualified or CTA qualified
* 5 years' tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice
* Good tax knowledge
* Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
* Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Motivated team player
