Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer seeking a new challenge. You will join the Civil & Structural Engineering division within a well established and reputable property consultancy, working on buildings projects. The firm offers architecture, MEP, Surveying, Sustainability, Masterplanning and structural design, with around 150 staff and over 100 years of operation. They are backed by a large investment firm, providing financial stability and a strong market position.
The role offers a collaborative, team-based environment with emphasis on mutual support and client service. The business aims to unlock efficiencies to enhance margins and provide excellent client service. The current structural team consists of 18 staff and the firm is investing to grow this area.
Projects: Varied in size and scope, including defence sector, industrial buildings, residential projects, projects for the Police, garden centres, schools and concrete residential mid-rise frames. Typical project values up to £40m.
Role focus: Suitable for a candidate with around 2-3 years of experience in buildings structures projects. Knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper is useful; experience in RC and steel is preferable. Excellent support for Chartership will be provided. This is an opportunity to carve a niche within the industry and the firm.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to structural design and detailing for a range of building projects (RC and steel experience preferred).
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
* Support chartership processes and professional development.
* Engage in project planning, technical reviews and quality assurance.
* Assist in business development and knowledge sharing within the structural team.
Qualifications
* Around 2-3 years of experience in buildings structures projects.
* Knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper is useful.
* Experience in both reinforced concrete (RC) and steel structures preferred.
* Excellent support for Chartership will be provided.
