Job Description:

We have an exciting role within our Resident and Business Support service as a Team Leader – Revenues and Benefits.

About Us

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Resident and Business Support for two Revenues and Benefits Team Leaders. These roles are part of seven positions within the service and include day-to-day line management for specific areas such as Revenues, Benefits, Welfare Support, Housing Benefit Overpayments, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Initially, the positions will manage the Benefits team and the Welfare Support team.

Benefits Team Leader: A current working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction policies, and legislation is essential. The successful candidate will ensure benefit payments are awarded within performance standards, maintain claim accuracy, collaborate with internal departments for financial support, and deliver excellent customer service.

Welfare Support Team Leader: Knowledge of benefits provided by the local authority or DWP and relevant legislation is essential. Desirable skills include understanding crisis support and free school meals. The role involves ensuring residents receive entitled benefits, managing crisis and community awards, processing free school meals, and supporting vulnerable residents by working with other departments to provide comprehensive support and excellent customer service.
