Job Description
Make your mark as UK Tax Assistant for Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for providing support to the UK Tax Manager and payroll teams in the effective management of UK tax compliance obligations relating to Payroll, Corporation tax and VAT.
Your responsibilities as UK Tax Assistant.:
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Preparation of monthly UK VAT returns for Subsea Services and calculation of company tax payments on account.
* Support in the preparation of corporation tax provisions and tax forecasting for the purpose of group and management reporting.
* Provide financial and tax analysis to support annual UK corporation tax filings.
* Supporting the UK Tax Manager and UK Expat Tax Manager on ad hoc tax advisory matters and in dealings with HMRC.
* Support with offshore crew payroll reporting in the UK and collation of information for overseas wage tax reporting.
* Working alongside members of the Subsea Services finance team and the Boskalis Group Tax Team on the effective operation of tax within our finance systems, processes and documentation.
* Working towards professional qualifications (ATT, ATII or equivalent)
Qualifications
You can make your mark as UK Tax Assistant if you have:
* 2+ years’ experience working in an energy sector environment.
* University Degree Qualification (Finance degree advantageous but not necessary), or relevant finance and tax experience within a finance function in industry or in public practice.
* Strong financial data handling skills (Excel)
* Willingness to learn and develop professional tax skills within a fast paced and complex international group.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.

* Your team: working as part of the Finance department, you will join a team of experienced Tax professionals reporting directly to the UK Tax Manager.
* Where you will work: Your location will be the Aberdeen office.
* Full/part- time job: The position of UK Tax Assistant is full time, 35 hours per week.
