Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Head of Finance to join the leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic financial planning to support our mission and sustain our impactful work.
Financial control - to ensure that the management of finance is fully compliant with regulatory requirements and to ensure that all financial practices carried out are handled in an appropriate manner
Promote and manage change to maximize efficiency
Financial reporting - to ensure the preparation of year-end accounts and other financial reports as may be required
Relationships with external stakeholders
Maintenance and development of an effective system of financial controls
Maintain and develop a system of Internal Financial Controls to ensure budgetary control, management and accountability.
Report on variances against budget and provide detailed explanations.
Identify and report on financial trends and identify corrective action in liaison with the CEO and his/her senior management team.
Ensure all reporting is delivered within the agreed timeframes.
Develop service user costing systems to support service planning.
Manage the day to day operations of the finance functions to include: Salaries, Accounts Payable, Patient Accounts
Provide full supervision of all duties carried out by Finance staff
Management of financial resources to maximise income and ensure efficiency
Develop KPIs, financial governance arrangements, financial systems and business re-engineering processes.
Implement existing and new accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency
Any other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned by the CEO
REQUIREMENTS:
Fully Qualified chartered accountant.
4-5 years minimum in a similar role
Experience in a charitable organisation is prefered.
A strong and experienced leader with a proven ability in managing and developing teams and services.
Excellent and proven skills in financial reporting and analysis
Excellent written, presentational and verbal communication skills
Ability to set own priorities, meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative
Confident and flexible approach to work
Ability to manage and influence key stakeholdersBe part of an amazing Organisation that are working toward a Big change.
