This setting is one of the largest in the county and is a specialist provision supporting learners with complex SEN needs, including Autism. The school is recognized for providing a bright, inviting, and calm environment where learners can thrive, focusing on education and life skills. The school has a long-standing and supportive team, with over 10 TAs in the secondary department. It supports children aged 5-19 years and is oversubscribed year after year. This therapeutic setting prioritizes the children's needs in everything it does.
This role is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, on a temporary to permanent basis.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing teaching assistance according to the teacher’s planning
* Working 1:1 with students
* Leading group and individual activities planned by the teacher
* Supporting learners in developing their work
* Supporting the overall well-being of learners
* Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under the teacher’s guidance
* Assisting teachers with management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment
* Supporting learners across all curriculum areas in structured work
Key skills and experience needed:
* Ability to work with learners with various learning difficulties
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility in educational approach
* Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
