The Opportunity: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established firm based in Bury. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload covering debt recovery, civil litigation, HDR (housing disrepair), and general litigation matters. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a broad caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
* Handle debt recovery claims from pre‑action through to enforcement.
* Deal with housing disrepair (HDR) matters, including both claimant and defendant work.
* Advise and represent clients in a range of general litigation disputes.
* Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
* Conduct negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
* Attend court hearings where required.
* Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to clients and maintain excellent client relationships.
About You:
* Qualified Solicitor (1–5 years’ PQE preferred, though all levels will be considered).
* Solid background in litigation, with experience across debt recovery, HDR, and general civil disputes.
* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive and client‑focused approach.
