More information is available on our Career site at www.fife.gov.uk/jobs/supportingstatement. Job Details To deliver a high quality netball coaching for children and adults. To ensure a high standard of customer service and a positive impact for all participants by delivering meaningful, fun and challenging programmes. To provide quality coaching in a variety of sports and physical activities. Encourage children and young people to participate regularly in physical activity and sport. To operate within the safety guidelines of the service. To assist the Active Communities Team to organise, deliver and develop netball activities and events including clubs, groups and festivals across Fife. To assist with increasing participation in sport & physical activity across Fife. Building capacity and improving the infrastructure for sport & physical activity in Fife by implementing the objectives in Fife Sports & Physical Activity Strategy. Liaising with a variety of partners, schools, facilities, volunteers, development officers, instructors, groups & organisations. Undertaking administration. Assisting to deliver a range of sport & physical activity opportunities across Fife. There is an expectation that part of this role will include elements of further training relevant to the role and as an agreed part of a development plan. The Person We require successful candidates to demonstrate: Experience of adhering to relevant policies and procedures in relation to health and safety, child protection and accidents/emergencies. Experience of being able to adapt sessions to suit a wide range of abilities and ages. Ability to organise and deliver sessions. Act as a role model for young people to be involved in sport. Excellent organisational skills. Punctual and reliable. Excellent communication skills with all ages and abilities. Ability to build positive rapport with client group. Ability to communicate with parents and carers on progress of children and young people. Ability to liaise with other agencies including NHS, Active Schools, Facility Providers to ensure a positive customer experience. Ability to provide a regular and effective service. You should be literate and willing to embrace technology and information to support aspects of the work. Some experience in volunteering/coaching would be useful. You should have the ability to follow complex instructions, stay calm and work well under pressure and deal with confrontation. You will need to use your initiative as and when required. This post involves a significant amount of evening and weekend work. Ability to travel within Fife is essential. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
