The Role:
PIB Schemes & Affinities division is recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Application Support Analyst to join the Application Support Team. Reporting to the Application Support Manager, this role is suitable for someone looking to build on their IT/Application support experience within one of the UK’s fastest-growing insurance businesses. The division operates digital customer-facing brands offering insurance products like Lifestyle, Motor, Pet, Childcare, Health & Wellbeing, and Disability/Mobility.
The role involves working with the in-house Software Development team, Application Change team, and external vendors to deliver application support. The successful candidate must communicate effectively across business units, build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and support applications.
Informal on-call work is required. Attractive pay incentives are offered, along with a company smartphone for personal use.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for all application support issues, from 1st to 2nd line
* Resolve issues, troubleshoot, test, and train users on CRM systems using privileged access
* Diagnose and resolve software incidents, managing communication with the business
* Assist end users with software-related issues
* Take ownership of issues, perform problem analysis, and implement fixes to restore service, escalating when necessary
* Record, update, and document requests using the helpdesk system
* Update and create knowledge-base articles
* Assist in project activities
* Facilitate communication between internal and external technical teams
* Follow support processes and perform other duties as required
Experience
* Experience in an IT/Application support environment
* Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Proactive attitude towards issue resolution
* Ability to manage workload effectively
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Degree in IT or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of tools like Jira and Confluence
* Understanding of data protection and UK GDPR
* Experience with insurance policy systems such as Acturis, Applied, SSP, or Aquarium Software
* Familiarity with digital teams in insurance/financial services
