Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Please only apply if you can work all 4 days.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for their development. This role involves supervising children during playtime, facilitating activities, and ensuring their well-being while promoting social interaction and learning through play.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage with children during play activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate games and activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Foster an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment.
* Observe children's behaviour and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
* A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide children effectively during activities.
* Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and team members.
