Fire Risk Assessor
We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to deliver high quality fire safety assessments and help protect residents across a large housing portfolio.
Position: Fire Risk Assessor
Salary: £51,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications plus £1,300 car allowance
Location: Stratford, London with travel across the South region including South West London
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a mix of site, office and home working

About the Role
This is a key role within a dedicated Fire Safety team, providing specialist fire safety management and risk assessment across a diverse residential portfolio.
You will be responsible for delivering a programme of Fire Risk Assessments, ensuring all properties remain safe, compliant and well managed.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessments in line with legislation and British Standards
2. Undertaking site inspections across residential properties
3. Producing clear, detailed FRA reports with risk ratings and recommended actions
4. Managing a programme of planned assessments as well as responding to incidents
5. Identifying fire risks and ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented
6. Working closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance
7. Supporting the organisation in meeting all statutory fire safety obligations
About You
You will be an experienced fire safety professional with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to high standards.
You will demonstrate:
8. Experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments within the residential sector
9. A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Management
10. Knowledge of fire safety legislation including the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005
11. Understanding of fire compliance within housing associations or local authorities
12. Knowledge of Approved Documents and relevant industry guidance
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
15. Good IT skills including Microsoft Office systems
16. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
17. Willingness to work towards or hold a recognised professional fire accreditation
