Are you a detail-driven, energetic, and creative individual? Do you have experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks? Fancy joining a collaborative team that feels like family, with incredible opportunities for progression and real responsibility?
Then look no further, this could be your next role. (And don’t worry, we’ve risk managed it, it’s fully compliant for you!)
We’re partnering with a market-leading Consumer Goods business, currently turning over £10 million and growing fast, with ambitious expansion plans ahead. Known for creating brilliant products at accessible prices, they never compromise on quality. This role will be central in ensuring both new and existing products meet all relevant UK regulatory standards.
The business prides itself on its people-first culture. The office isn’t just a workplace, it’s a community. They believe in creating a joyful, engaging environment that still delivers results. From day one, you’ll be given meaningful responsibilities and clear opportunities to grow. Their team strikes the perfect balance between collaboration and autonomy, allowing you to thrive in a supportive yet flexible setup.
They’re now seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support on ensuring all products, whether in development or already on the market, comply with UK regulations. If you're a proactive professional who enjoys managing risk with precision and care, this could be your ideal next move.
The Role:
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products, packaging, and labelling meet current UK regulations, and stay ahead of future legislative changes.
* Testing & Certification: Lead testing and certification processes with accredited labs, manage documentation, and oversee associated costs.
* Product Development Support: Help guide teams on compliance needs and cost implications during new product development, keeping critical paths on track.
* Risk Management: Support with conducting risk assessments, oversee product recalls if necessary, and maintain visibility through RAM reports and issue logs.
* Policy & Training: Create internal policies and provide training to staff on product safety, labelling requirements, and reporting obligations.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, logistics, and marketing to integrate compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
* Auditing & Reporting: Lead internal audits and report product risks, compliance status, and KPIs to senior management.
* Supplier & QC Oversight: Along with the team lead work on quality control checks, manage ethical and technical audits, and support supplier strategy and performance.
What We’re Looking For:
* Education & Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. A compliance or risk management certification (e.g., CCEP) is also preferred.
* Regulatory Expertise: At least 3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, ideally in consumer goods, with a strong grasp of UK product safety laws and standards.
* Quality Experience: 2–4 years in quality assurance or quality control, with a good understanding of quality management systems and compliance frameworks.
* Knowledge of Standards: Working knowledge of product testing protocols.
* Technical Skills: Confident with data analysis tools and quality testing equipment.
* Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound decision-making skills.
* Communication & Collaboration: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Eye for Detail: High standards, accuracy, and a strong commitment to quality in everything you do.
