Job Introduction
Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volkswagen in Loughborough. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week) with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8:30am to 1:00pm (averages out at 41.5 hours per week). Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflective of each applicant's experience and skillset.
* The basic salary starts from £32,000 up to £45,000.
* Bonus / OTE ranges from £37,000 up to £48,000.
* OTE Hourly rates range from £17.15 up to £22.24.

Role and Responsibilities
* Inspect, service, repair and diagnose vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
* Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
* Work on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
* Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
* Understand customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.
* Operate additional systems such as video reporting (CitNOW).
* Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
* Work closely with the workshop team to learn and share knowledge.
About You
* Experience in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician or related roles (e.g., Mechanic, MOT Tester, Auto Electrician).
* Experience with independent garages, fast fit centres, car supermarkets or main dealers is welcome.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or working towards it).
* Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
* MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Demonstrable mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high standards.
